Today was a small bump in the road, however we are thankful for this happening right now rather than next week. For some unknown reason, the tri-port that was inserted surgically on Wednesday would not work so after many failed attempts to get it going he got a new one in today. He has just finished and is now recovering. We are thankful that he has made it through this procedure successfully a second time. If you know him and how much he enjoys eating (every 2 hours) then you will understand that when I say he is hungry, he is hangry! haha! He is probably enjoying coffee and a Panera cinnamon roll as we speak! His nurse aka Lynda is taking excellent care of him!
They have already began the neupogen injections, he will continue these throughout the weekend. These injections are essentially increasing the stem cells in his body, we are hoping to begin the stem cell collection on Monday. I will be there for that so I hope to have some fun photos to share.
My family is so thankful for the awesome support team that we are surrounded by! I will do my best to keep you up to date, keep the prayers coming God is answering them!
