My life has been and is many things, it has been a fairy tale, a train wreck and a beautiful mess. I have lived a giving life, I have lived a selfish live and I have lived a wild life! I have done many different things but through all of my ups and downs there has always been one constant thing, God has been there every step of the way! He has loved me in spite of all of the twists and turns that I have taken. He definitely watches over me and protects me, because I asked him to. I welcomed Him into my heart as a young girl and have always known His love in my life.
Sadly, I have taken His love for me and grace for granted for a long time. However, it has always remained constant. He loves us all very much and will give us as many tries as it takes! He will never give up on anyone no matter how far they fall! We just have to reach up and grab a hold of all He has in store for us.
My life has been and is great, I have at times made choices that were not always smart and put myself into some things that took time to heal to move past them. However, I am using all of these things as stepping-stones to the greater calling on my life. Each experience good and bad has brought me to this very day, I can’t say I would change anything because then I wouldn’t be in this exact position I am in. Some of my college years could be debatable, but God is using those for His glory as well. I did score an amazing husband out of the whole deal and friendships that will last as long as I do!
Everything that I have done in my past is not recorded or hung over my head as who I was, unless I let it be! I am greater than who I used to be because of He that is in me! That is my testimony, God has turned my trials into His glory, He is using me right where He wants me. Again, I just had to say YES!
I said yes to a bible study with a friend that is transforming my life and giving me a boldness and firm ground to stand on.
I said yes to leading youth at my church.
I said yes to doing this blog!
I said yes to spending time with God everyday to invest in a relationship with Him!
I said yes to a challenge to speak life and not say unwholesome talk! (Btw, it gets real when my kids remind me of my slip ups, who knew I raised my voice to my kids so much, I do now!) Glad to be working on that!
These are the things that are shaping me into who I am, not what I used to do or who I used to be! What shapes you? What do you want your life to look like? Go for it! If you are in His will, He will show up in ways you can not imagine!
If you get a chance today, look up Proverbs 4:4-9! It was in my devotion today, might be my new favorite! Verse 7 says, “The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom.” According to the dictionary wisdom is the quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgement, the quality of being wise.
Let’s all try to gain a little wisdom in the days to come, do what we know to be right, not be quick to judge but quick to love.
Have a fabulous Thursday, I’m so thankful that you guys read what God is laying on my heart. GOD BLESS YOUR DAY!
