Luke 21:19 says, “Stand firm and you will win life.”
I stumbled across this verse this morning and I love it! It sums so much up for me! Simply put, stand firm and you will win life! Aren’t we all trying to win at life? Isn’t that what we are doing each day? Trying to get through life, and do so in a somewhat happy manner. Are we trying to win at what we do, don’t we want to live our lives to the best of our ability? What is our best? Have we ever even tapped into it?
The Bible clearly says here, that all we have to do is stand firm and we will win. This speaks such life and reassurance to me, when we are grounded in Jesus and have active faith and follow His plan we are winning! # winning
- Do you have active faith?
- Do you trust Jesus with everything you have?
- Have you given over control to Him?
“Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life?” Luke 12:25
Life is going to come at you everyday, that you can not change. What you can change is how you handle it. You can take news that you don’t like and do many things with it, gossip, dwell on it, replay it over and over again or you can choose peace. You can take the information straight to God, you can give over your worries and anxieties immediately. Life was not created or intent on you handling it on your own.
I encountered this yesterday, instead of running around venting and getting angry. I immediately took my cares to God, I pressed into Him and He surrounded me with peace and love. He spoke life into the situation, He is loving me from every angle. Not that is was easy, but it is getting better. It is hard to break old habits, it’s hard to not give into self. All we are required to do is try to put our best foot forward. He will mend the pieces, He will have the final judgement for us all. He knows our hearts and where He wants us. I invited Him into a hard place and He made it into what He wanted, not about me or the situation at all.
He knows us, He sees each of us for who we are on the inside. What does He see on the inside of you? If you’re not happy with that answer, do something about it!
Be a do-er, not just a sayer. When you say your going to do something, do it! Do it today, do it now! Don’t wait…don’t miss your chance. Have faith in His plan for you.
Step out in active faith, faith is defined in Hebrews 11 as confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. We’re not always going to know, we just have to step out in faith and let Him do the rest! It is really the glue that this whole relationship with Christ is based on.
I am honestly just learning and putting into practice most of what I share on here. I think that is why I am so passionate about it, because God is teaching me and showing things to me and I feel selfish to keep it all to myself. I have so much love and freedom ruling in my life right now that I must share it, I want it to be infectious.
I want you each to reach your full potential in your daily Christian walk. Don’t let your circumstances define you, define yourself in Christ!
