Good Morning, it’s only 4 days until Christmas and we are in super excited mode around here!
We have an action packed rest of the week ahead, ending with Christmas celebrations. We have conjured up a few great surprises for the boys this year and are so excited to share them with them on Sunday…
I was unsure what to share about today, as I was praying about it this title kept coming to mind, I think it is an important reminder everyday of the year. Live each day to the fullest, don’t put off anything until tomorrow. If you think it’s important, do it! You never know its eternal impact, it could be life changing for someone. My parents are heading out today, I won’t see them for about a month. Last night, for some reason I was playing in my head all of things that I thought I had so much time to do with them but now I only have a few short hours and all of things won’t fit into that time. Of course, I will see them again, but I can’t help but think of all of the people who say; I wish I would have, and no longer have the opportunity.
Each day is a gift, not meant to be dreaded. It is meant to be welcomed, life altering good, we must look at life that way. I love when I ask someone how they are and they reply with good, I was able to get out of bed this morning. That is so true, the fact that you are awake and able to read this should be enough to put a smile on each of our faces. Sometimes, I think we all get overwhelmed by all of the big stuff that we forget to look around and simply be thankful. I directed my thoughts from regrets of things that I didn’t get to do with my parents, to joy that I still have parents. I will get another chance to take my Mom to lunch, just the two of us. I will get to see then in sunny Florida in January. 🙂
The point of today and everyday is to be thankful for what you have right where you are, and to do what God is prompting you to do. Love and give grace today. Do what you have been putting off until tomorrow. I’m not into scare tactics to do what you are called to do, but no one is promised tomorrow. Do what you know in your heart is right, love and be loved. Mend broken relationships, pray for the sick, visit someone who you have been meaning to for weeks. Go out and share Christ’s amazing love with all of those you come into contact with. Spread peace, hope and love to a hurting world.
Let’s make the minority the majority!
