This is a real question to ask yourself, what do you really want from God?
What are you waiting for? Are you praying for it? Do you really believe He can help you?
These are real questions, and the answer is yes, He can and wants to help. He wants to see all of us succeed in life, He wants His best for us. We have to align ourselves with His will, we have to be obedient to His calling on our lives. We each have very specific things we are good at, some may seem more important than others but that is not the case. Each one is very important to the progress of our world. We are all created equal and it takes each one of us doing our part, the people called to pray while that may seem simple are just as important as the people on the other side of the globe building shelters for the hopeless.
We have to each tap into what God wants us to do with our lives, and once we do, we can’t falter! This is my weakness as I shared a bit yesterday, Allen and I both know where God wants us or at least the direction. However, throw a wrench in that plan and we are packing our bags, sad but true. However, yesterday instead of being defeated we called on God’s promises to us. We reminded ourselves that God has a plan and we have to see it through. As easy as it is to give up, it’s not the way for us at this time.
We have to keep on trying, doing new things, putting and keeping our faith in God.
Faith is the key! Faith is by definition, complete trust or confidence in someone or something. Complete trust, not just trust when you want it. We have to have complete trust all of the time, like I mentioned yesterday, we can’t take a vacation from our beliefs. We have to work at it everyday, all of the time.
I have found 2 verses today that speak into this a great deal, I have written them both on cards to put around to remind myself daily. The first is:
James 1:2-4 (MSG)
Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and we’ll developed, not deficient in any way.
The second is:
Hebrews 1-1-2 (MSG)
The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see. The act of faith is what distinguished our ancestors, set them above the crowd.
Let these verses speak to you today, God is in control, lean on Him. Put your faith and trust in Him, let Him see you through. Whatever test or trial you are going through will grow you into who He wants you to become. He reminds us in Romans 5:3 that “Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”
Stand on His promises to us, keep on keeping on. Pray, get in God’s will for your life, call it forth. Own it, be it, live it and you will become it! He has instilled it into us all, as he parted the water for the Israelites, in the same way, He can make a way for you. He did that to show his power, just think what He wants to do for you. As I read earlier in my First 5 devotion, it’s like He’s saying, “Don’t be afraid, I’m right here with you in the trenches and I’ll remain here-making sure you get to the other side.”
He wants us to make it, He wants us all to go all in for Him. What are you waiting for? Let today be that day for each of us!
