We have to make conscience decisions and efforts to remain in freedom and happiness. It’s not always easy but we have to do it, our lives depend on it.
When I am trying to eat healthy I watch what I eat, I try to eat as clean as possible. If I have a meal that is not the best for my hips then I try to compensate by making a better choice at my next meal. I try very conscientiously to do my best.
Just as with my marriage, I have to make conscience decisions to be the best partner I can be. I must let go of things that have no value in our relationship. I make conscience choices to choose love over everything.
This applies to all areas of each of our lives, parenting, with our siblings and parents, etc…the list could go on.
Just as in our Christian walks we have to make conscience choices to walk by faith and not let the world overtake our joy. This is hard sometimes because life happens everyday and no one has it perfect. Each day brings things about that we love, circumstances that we don’t understand, and trials/victories that we didn’t expect. We have to remain faithful and true to who we are at all times.
It is possible and doable, once again it requires something from us. It is a good fight that we have to fight. It is always worth it, no matter what comes our way, we have to stand firm. We have to utilize the tools that help us through the day. We are all equipped with them, they do no good if you keep them put away. Everyone uses different things, but we have to make a conscience choice to pick them up and use them. If you don’t know what tools you need, I urge you to work on that, what helps and what hurts. Navigate through them and hold the ones that help you tightly.
I need quiet time and devotion to clear my mind and prepare me, I need prayer to calm my storms, and I need God’s armor to battle life’s unexpected adventures. These are just a few of the tools that I draw on each day, when I leave one packed away, I’m out of balance. I can tell when I do not fully arm myself, I let my patience run thin, I am short when I should extend grace. I am not my usual self that I want to be.
Find out what tools you need to stay in balance and never put them away. Strive toward them everyday, use what you need to, to approach each day.
Your life is worth conscience decisions, your happiness is invaluable to yourself and your loved ones. Stand firm and win life, and win it everyday! It is possible, the Bible even says so.
Stand firm, and you will win life. Luke 21:19
My Dad was lovingly critiquing one of my blogs, which I welcome from any of you. He said you’re doing good but one thing you can add? is that we must die to something everyday. He is so right about this, each morning we all need forgiveness, we need grace in our lives. What he means is that in order to start each day fresh, on a good note, we need to leave yesterday’s shortcomings in the past and not bring them with us. We need to move forward and tackle today, not yesterday or tomorrow. Simply be present in today. Try it for yourself and see what you think.
No one is perfect, we all sin, ask for forgiveness and move forward in today. I think that is a very important conscious decision we can all make.
I pray the rest of your weekend is amazing! We’re headed for some archery fun around here!
Disclaimer: I am confused on when use, conscious vs. conscience. Haha!
