While watching the movie “Sing” last night, I had an interesting thought. The girl elephant, Meena, was afraid to sing in front of the crowd or anyone for that matter, Buster Moon told her to “Just sing”. Sounds simple, it was difficult for her, all she had to do was take the first step and the rest would just come naturally. It made me think, the little koala was right, ha.
We just have to take the first step, the first move in the right direction; then things become so much clearer, so much easier. We find our purpose when we step out, we take the first move toward what we are being called to do.
I found this so true with my life when I think about it, I’ve had many ideas that I never acted on. I am now trying to be very intentional and just go for it in all arenas of my life. If I know I should do or say something I do it, I speak it, so I’m held accountable to follow whatever it may be through. This holds true for big and small tasks.
I found this true with blogging, I had to just take the first step. Post the first blog and God is doing the rest through me. What are you being called to do? Don’t miss His blessings for your life for one more minute. Just go for it, if you are in His will, He is right there ready to grab your hand to take the first step with you. He will lead you, however you have to be willing to move.
Don’t stay still and stagnate for any longer, go after your dreams and goals. Just like in the movie, she had a beautiful voice but was scared to put herself out there. Once, she did, she took over the show. Take over your show, you only have one life to live, make sure you are making the best of it. Of course we get do-overs and can keep on trying, that is the great part.
Today, step out and make the first move toward what you have been holding back on. God will meet you there and honor and bless whatever it may be. I am looking forward to seeing you all move in God’s direction for your life. It will be the most satisfying and freeing move you can make.
