Well, I awoke to “Mommy, can you just come here”, while it was still dark outside. I find him near the bathroom with a sight you can only imagine, he had gotten sick, and bless him! He tried his best, but there was a 2 foot radius around him of many fluids that bellowed out of his little body!
Good Morning to this Mommy, of course we’re germ ready, so while he showered off I got to my duties of clean up. Coco couldn’t stand that she was missing out on the party, so as I’m on all fours, she is crying in her crate to come and see all of the commotion. It was a sight I’m sure.
After all the frenzy was settled, he, Coco and I got settled into the living room. As we were laying there, I was pondering how did this happen? We just talked this through yesterday, we discussed all of the germs going around, how we were going to prevent this from hitting our crew. We thought we were prepared, however we let our guard down and this slipped right through the cracks.
I was reminded about our Christian walks as I lay there trying to doze back off. We can do everything we are supposed to, be prepared and things still sneak up on us and rob us of our good intentions. Their is not always an explanation of how, sometimes it just happens.
I was of course meeting Cobe’s every need, getting him whatever he could possibly want to stay comfortable and feel as good as possible. Just as God does with us, He doesn’t expect us to be perfect or get it right every time. He will love us just as much after our failed efforts as he did before, if not more.
He is always there to comfort us, let that sink in today. Everyday is not going to go according to plan, however He will be there for you through every situation. Call on Him, lean on Him when you don’t understand everything going on around you. I sure did this morning, it definitely didn’t go as planned, but we survived.
I have taken every step to ensure that he is the only one that gets sick, I have extra germ x, essential oils, rubs, diffusers going, vitamin c packets, vitamin c pills, I’m just going to stop there. ? sadly, that list is a bit longer. Ha! I think of it as my arsenal, I’m prepared.
Are you prepared to handle what life throws at you today?
If you’re not, you can be!
Jesus is always there, He can help you walk through each step you take today. They won’t all be easy or probably turn out how you think they should, however His love and reassurance will get you through.
Take the first step to the life you have only dreamt about! God is always waiting with outstretched arms! Let him love you in the places that you don’t understand, let Him mend your hurts and your heart.
It’s a game changer….have a great weekend!
