My Dad always says, “You’ve got to stay hooked up”. What does that mean to you, to him, it means you have to stay connected to Jesus. You must remain in Him, it’s tough. Life gets in the way, things happen, money gets tight, people do things that you don’t understand, it can all be very frustrating and take over. Very quickly the light at the end of the tunnel gets very dim. It sometimes seems easier to throw your hands up and curl up in a closet and hide. However, that is simply not an option. We must remain steadfast, when you are weak; trust Jesus (He is strong). Pray hard and listen to His leading. It really works. I am often surprised how good it feels just to pour my heart out, I heard on a radio program this week to pray for your blessings. Pray life into your situation, don’t go to God whining. Yes, pour your heart out to Him, but do it in a way that speaks life into your situation. Thank Him for what He is going to do for you, believe what you are saying. Have faith that He has brought you to this crossroad for a reason, He has a mighty plan. We would not want Him to cut it short to answer a quick prayer to satisfy today and rob us of all He is orchestrating on our behalf for our future.
Think eternally! Remember the big picture, He is the creator of the universe for crying out loud! He has something amazing for you, just put ALL of your faith and trust in Him. He will deliver on His promises for your life at the exact right time. If something is standing in your way, deal with it. Face it head on! Let God love and lead you through life. Put both feet in, don’t have one in and one out. You gotta jump in with both feet and be all in.
I read in my devotion today something that really captivated me. We get off course when we are more concerned with vocalizing our opinion than simply stating God’s truth.
This spoke into my life this week, it’s hard not to give our 2 cents even though sometimes I am certain my voice and opinion need to be heard. However, when I speak God’s truth instead, I am helping the situation instead of escalating it. I hope that you will let that speak into you today, sure we all have our own opinions, they are just that. Opinions! We all do things differently, that is what make each of us unique. Sometimes we just have to speak God’s truth into situations and let the love of Christ radiate instead of radiating ourselves. That is what produces real results.
I hope that you have a great weekend and that you put your trust in God like never before! If you are fasting, yay! We’re almost half way through, I feel so much stronger eliminating sugar and I have found myself with so much more time and less data usage with no Facebook on my phone. 😉 ha.
Stay hooked up to Jesus, let Him be the ruler and leader of your life. Simply be a Jesus follower…He will not lead you astray.
