I am slowly realizing many different things in this life and one of those is this; we each have a role to play, a job to fill.
When I first started this journey, I was often discouraged because I thought “how can I do or say anything to impact anyone in such a crazy time”. The world’s problems are huge, that is true. However, I don’t think we are supposed to look at it that way. I think we are just supposed to be obedient and do our own part. If we each are making our own contributions then all of us together will make a fantastic impact.
We each have our own talents and abilities that we can contribute, this is why we are each made unique, and all of us are made in God’s image. I’ve said it before, but some days I sit down to type and the words just flow, I have no idea where they are taking me. I let God use me, I am open to let Him take over my thoughts. The most awesome thing about this is this: almost every day I hear from someone who said that what I had written was exactly what they needed to hear! I am amazed every time and when I look back over my blog, I am sometimes surprised at what I see.
I am saying all of this to say: no matter what your talents are, they are your talents! They may not look like anyone else’s and they may feel insignificant, but they are very important!
Your gifts and talents are coming from you and radiating into your circle of friends and family. God has a plan, He may only be using you to plant a seed, someone else may be the one to come along and water it. Then God will be the one who helps it grow. (Check out 1 Corinthians 3:6-9) So, shine your light wherever you are today. Spread love and joy, minister to the people closest to you. Love them in spite of your differences. You do your part and then let God do His.
When we break it down like this, it seems very simple. All we really have to do is be ourselves and let God do the rest. Don’t make things to complex, don’t busy it up. Just be the best version of you that you can be…trust the rest TO God.
As my Dad has always said in regards to our family to settle any dispute, “we are all on the same team.” That is true, we are all on the same team. We can make things better, we can have our desires, we just have to do our part!
God is for us!
“What then shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31
