I learn something new everyday, I really do! You know how I do this, I am still and listen. It’s that simple. Listening is new for me, I’m used to talking.
I am realizing that I have a story in my heart, I think we all do. We all have something to share, some do it quietly, some do it very loud, some type it out, some keep it in their heart and never share it.
I’m human, I look to stats and shares to mark my progress. However, that is not my real progress. The real marker to identify my success as a blogger is obedience.
When I take the time to sit down and listen to God, He gives me a message. When I’m busy and don’t stop, I rob myself of learning something new. I don’t share my heart, I keep it caged up until it comes to a boiling point. Then I realize where I have been lacking and pin point the cause of my struggle. It’s a weird cycle, I’m slowly catching on and realizing when I’m not in balance life doesn’t flow as smoothly. When I take the time to be still, I am giving my time to God. He takes that time and multiplies it, that is what gets me through each day of this life. I am obedient to His calling on my life and He blesses me with His words.
When my faith life is in check, my eating is in check; all of the rest of it just seems to fall into place. What gives you balance? Where do you find your peace?
I want to encourage you today to take a few minutes, get alone and write down some of your thoughts. I do my best thinking in the car when I’m by myself, I listen to songs that uplift me and then the thoughts just pour out. I of course don’t write them then?. Another favorite is getting up early when no one else is awake and being still, I force myself to not do anything that is on my to do list when I do this, I spend the first 30 minutes or so of my day with God. It is a game changer, I notice how much more at ease I am throughout the day.
Try it, I would love to hear how you relax and get alone. I just got a new journal, it’s so exciting. The start to a new chapter in my story! Take the first step today to share your story…
