I simply stand in awe of Jesus. I somehow got to a place where I forgot this, I got caught up. I let the world fill my life to overflowing instead of Jesus filing me to overflowing. I let my worries and concerns get bigger than God. I can’t pinpoint exactly where it began and simply don’t want to because the best part is that I have realized it and I am doing something about it. No need to look back, only forward.
Don’t look to worry, look to all that has been done and all that is being done for you. In the big and small things.
For example, we are building. It is so exciting watching it all come together. However, we are at a step that requires a million choices, while I have looked forward to this point, it has been a bit trying. In the way that I am not finding all of the people necessary to make my pinterest boards come to life. ? I have wild ideas, and I like them. Getting everyone else on board has been a bit trying. My mission last week was finding the perfect kitchen island. I was excited, I was sure my simple design would be easily executed. Jokingly I asked my mom to pray for me as I searched and searched, she did (of course, she did). I called every cabinet-maker in a 50 mile radius, visited numerous places. Still, nothing! I decided to pray that I would find the exact right person half heartedly believing that it would happen. Looking back it happened so beautifully.
I got a phone call from one of the many places I had called, I hadn’t left a message. On the other end was the answer to my prayer, the perfect island is being crafted for the exact price we wanted. I stand in awe!
God can work and will work into every situation that we invite Him into. Simple as that. He will do it in every situation! We just have to ask.
What has God done for you that you stand in awe of? Being in awe of Him will change our lives, don’t get to used to depending on Him without seeking Him. They go hand in hand, when we seek Him, He feels us to overflowing. It requires action on our part; in the big and small things. I’m learning to trust Him in all things and remembering to keep Him in the forefront of my life instead of just squeezing Him in to my timeline.
Look back over your life, or even your last week and see all that God has done and is doing for you. Hopefully, you will find yourself in awe of Him.
Let Him plan your days. He orchestrated a beautiful one for us yesterday in one of our favorite cities.
Today, we’re off to create a new memory and embrace this life we have been blessed with! Excited to see what He has in store.
Happy Memorial Day!
