Psalm 30: 11-12 “You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing to you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever.
Out with the old and in with the new! You turned my wailing into dancing, removed my sackcloth(mourning) and replaced it with joy! This verse is my life…therefore I can not be silent.
Jeremiah 33:3 says, “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”
Call to me, it’s simple. When we need something and we need help, we typically call out to someone for help. Like if you’re in the bathroom and you need tp, that one’s the worst. 🤓 Or if your car stalls on the highway, you call someone to come and rescue you. The same is with God, when life is throwing you curve balls you call out to Him.. He will rescue you, as I’ve said before the rescue may not always look like a hero riding in on a white horse! It may be ugly and involve some situations that you don’t necessarily prefer. However, those moments, those situations are the places where we grow and learn. While we don’t always like them, they are necessary.
The key here, as I stated in the verse is that we just call to God, He will hear you and answer you. As the verse says, He will tell you great things. You, we just have to take the first step and call out to Him and he will meet you wherever you are. Even on the toilet, calling out for tp for the 10th time!
The next step is trusting Him and finding joy in the journey. Swallow this up, things are simply not always going to go our way! I know, shocking. They simply aren’t, however we must remain faithful and learn to trust God, knowing and remembering that He will never leave you or forsake you. This is where faith steps in, and sometimes a lot of it. We can’t always see the big picture, but God can. But God…He knows you, He made you.
Faith is the cornerstone of all believers, it is sometimes difficult. However, if you want everlasting peace and who doesn’t; it’s a must!
- Standing up for what is right, even when it’s hard
- Stepping forward even when you can’t see what’s ahead
- Trusting that there is something greater than yourself
- Leaping when you want to crawl
- Simply taking God’s hand and finding joy in the journey!
I know my steps have not always made a lot of sense and some of them were wrong. However, I am walking in step with my creator and it brings me joy and peace everlasting. While my circumstances may not always be ideal, my life is fabulous because I make that choice for me and my family benefits when I choose to have a good attitude and focus on living! I choose to look ahead and not look back. I focus on what’s to come, not my shortcomings.
I want to encourage you today, to look forward. Make leaps and bounds by walking in faith and in step with God. He will walk beside you and carry you when you don’t think you can make one more move. ❤
