Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift! 2 Corinthians 9:15
That is the message that I received in the early part of evening on Thursday night (she is here), I could not contain myself. Three simple words had such a life changing impact. We witnessed an answer to prayer, a gift from God last week. I have not been overcome with joy like that since the birth of my own children. I could not stop crying, the answer to why is simple. We prayed hard for something for almost 8 years, there were moments of heartache and pain. Questions of why? But God…I tend to find myself saying that a lot lately. But God had a plan far greater than ours. He knew that in November of 2017 he was going to send forth a beautiful baby girl into the arms of her parents and he did just that. Miracles do happen…
We simply do not know God’s plans for each day of our lives, we have to trust that his big picture is far greater than anything that we can imagine. This is how we build our faith, we build it on God’s faithfulness, not on our own strengths. And then when he comes thru, and he always does; we shout it from the mountaintops! Our job as Christians is to make God famous, when we share stories of his goodness, grace and mercy in our lives, He is exalted.
I want to encourage you as you go about this week of “thanksgiving”, to really count what you are thankful for, write it all down and list it out. We are a blessed nation, there is way more good than bad going on. Shout it out, share it with the world. Be the light at your family dinners this week, share and show God’s love to the ones that need it the most.
I know my list is long and I will ever be thankful and grateful for that!
